welllogo We are a community of trained, experienced and registered practitioners who are committed to the ongoing development of best practice for counselling training, organisational training, therapy and supervision throughout Wales.

Learning and teaching opportunities are led by highly qualified, experienced lecturers and practitioners who will work with you to prepare you to meet the challenges presented in the rapidly changing and expanding discipline of counselling. 
The programme has been developed in collaboration with experienced practitioners in order that current and relevant practice issues are addressed.

OUR MISSION


To offer high quality integrative programmes of study in the professional field of counselling via a range of education and training routes from certificates, diplomas to short professional courses and workshops, in an inclusive environment.
Mission Aims for 2007-2012:

  • to offer teaching and training of the highest quality in the psychological therapies;
  • to provide Students with a theoretical and practical framework on which to base a professional and ethical practice in their chosen area of work;
  • to offer practitioner training within a supportive and inclusive environment;
  • to contribute in an effective way to improving access to and provision of appropriate services for the wider community.

Lynne Wager (BAHons, DipCouns, PGDipCouns, MBACP(ACCRED),MCS(ACCRED),UKCP, UKAHPP is a Psychotherapist, Training Consultant, Supervisor and the Director of WELL Training Ltd and has spent several years studying for a diploma in psychodynamic counselling under the auspices of the Westminster Pastoral Foundation. 

As part of her training Lynne has undergone several years group training and two years personal therapy.

Lynne went on to study for a post graduate diploma at the University of Wales Newport in integrative counselling.

Lynne is committed to ongoing training and development and
Lynne Wager has a successful private practice based in Swansea, where she works as a psychotherapist and Supervisor.  Lynne has worked as a psychotherapist and counselor since 1996, and brings a rich and diverse experience and knowledge from other walks of life.  She has worked in primary health care; with Foster Care Cymru; with Employee Assistance Schemes; in Further and Higher Education; with voluntary organizations; and in private practice.  Lynne believes that it is important that you find the right person for you to work with.  She encourages you to contact her with any queries or concerns you may have, and to explore these at an initial meeting.

Ongoing training:
Lynne is committed to ongoing training and personal and professional development and is currently studying for her Masters in Supervision.  Special areas of interest and experience include: trauma training and PTSD; attachment and relational issues; abuse; stress; bereavement and loss; illness; depression; anxiety; difficulties with living; self-harm; low self-esteem.

Areas of special interest: Lynne has studied with Babette Rothschild, a leading expert in the area of trauma; has vast experience of working with adolescents; and consultative supervision.

Supervision
Lynne has been working as a supervisor for many years, and passionately believes in the value and efficacy of good supervision.   Lynne supervises counselors, trainees, support workers, mental health professionals, social workers, nurses, and many other professionals.  She works with individuals and groups and organizations.  Lynne is also a volunteer supervisor with CRUSE bereavement care.

Lynne is accredited with the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and is subject to their Ethical Framework and complaints procedure.
